During career day activities this year, we have collaborated with the Utah Education Network (UEN), to offer a series of workshops to make faculty and staff aware of the many services offered for our use.  UEN oversees our statewide license of Blackboard, provides our internet access, provides faculty/staff professional development opportunities, and has a whole library of videos on a variety of subjects which may well supplement your own classroom materials.  With this brief overview, the attached flyer details the activities for the day.  There are a series of 5 workshops presented by UEN professionals.  These will be repeated twice starting at 9a and ending at 7p.  We are inviting Washington School District participants as well as counselors/faculty who will be here with their high school students on career day.  I have also included here a link to UEN so that you might become familiar with that site.  In addition to the workshops, there will be UEN professionals on the outskirts of the session to talk to you about individual subjects.  If you have questions, please let me know.  Please mark your calendar for Nov 17 for these informative sessions.  Keep in mind that these are information workshops not how-to’s.  Hope to see you there.
