This exhibit features one of the best-known photographers in the West.  Although Milton Goldstein has passed away, his wife has generously agreed to help us exhibit his fine photography.  His unique dye transfer prints will attract the St. George photography clubs and photo enthusiasts, as well as photography buffs from around the state.  We are also inviting a local photographer come to show his work in the lobby.  Brady Richardson, a local potter, will have his work displayed in the glass cases in the lobby.

The 21st Annual Robert N. and Peggy Sears Dixie Invitational Art Show and Sale, opens every year on the Saturday of Presidents weekend in February.  The show boasts a variety of representational art including landscape, portrait, western, and impressionistic pieces. Each year new artists are invited to submit images of their artwork for consideration of an invitation to participate.  Upon acceptance to the show, each artist is invited to submit two original, recent pieces of artwork.   The show and sale has a huge history of success.  Many emerging artists find their way to the top as art collectors and investors discover their talents.  Recognized artists continue to participate as patrons vie for their artwork each year.  This is the show not to miss.

Dixie State College Art Department Showcase

Reception: April 2, 7-9 p.m.

The Art Department of Dixie State College holds its annual exhibit to showcase the year’s work of the finest students as well as the work of alumni and faculty.  The art students experience the benefits of learning to present themselves and their artwork in a professional manner and to improve their portfolios.  It also provides DSC art professors and alumni an opportunity to show-off the work they have accomplished throughout the year.  The Showcase is looking forward to a future time when it will highlight senior portfolios as graduates leave DSC with a 4-year degree in visual art.  This exhibit is always a favorite.
