Janene McCurdy, BA

Janene McCurdy is originally from Grace, Idaho where she was a member of Grace High School Drill Team, and helped establish a local dance studio with her sister teaching jazz, tap, ballet and pointe. She began her training at the Tueller School of Dance in Logan, Utah. Janene has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, modern, and hip hop. After high school she was awarded a two year dance scholarship to Utah State University where she was a member of The Sunburst Singers and Dancers. She continued her dance education at Southern Utah University. She was a student choreographer for the concert “Breaking Boundaries”, and involved in many of the faculty dance concerts. She was a member of the SUU Waukeenyan Drill team for one year. She choreographs every year for the SUU Vital Dance Concert. She achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education with a Health Emphasis. Janene now resides in Cedar City, Utah. She maintains her training by teaching and choreographing for Dixie State College, On Stage Dance Studio, and attending master classes and professional dance conventions in Vegas and NYC. She is currently certified by Broadway Dance Center and Dance Teacher Now.
