Jenny Wood, BFA (Adjunct Faculty)

Jennie Wood began dancing at the age of 10 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After dancing for a year with Colorado Ballet, she returned to the University of Utah to finish a Bachelor's Degree in Ballet. While performing with the Utah Ballet at the University, Jennie continued teaching at the school where she had trained growing up, Children's Ballet Theater under the direction of Julie and Stacey Orlob. After graduating, she explored modern dance while performing and teaching in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There she was a dancer for the Contemporary Dance Wyoming while directing the Junior Repertory Company of the school at Dancer's Workshop, and had the opportunity of dancing with national companies such as Elisa Monte and Diavolo. She enjoys teaching dance at Dixie State College, and is currently performing with and co-directing St. George Dance Company.
