Roy Fitzell (Adjunct Faculty)
Roy Fitzell began his training in ballet, classical Spanish dance and tap at the age of five. His career began at an early age, both on the concert stage and in motion pictures. By age 18 he was a guest principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet Company, and at age 22 made his debut as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. For many seasons he was a principal dancer/actor with the Los Angeles/San Francisco Civic Light Opera Association, and has scores of stage, television and motion picture productions to his credit as performer, choreographer and director. He taught, and was Chair in the Department of Dance at U.C., Irvine, and taught as Distinguished Artist in Residence at S.U.U., Cedar City, UT, and served as choreographer for the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
