Multicultural/Diversity Center Student Highlight
The purpose of a MCDC monthly newsletter is to keep faculty and students updated on the events in the MCDC and share from the personal experiences of exceptional students. The newsletters are a good way to tell about your experiences, and express warm wishes for the future.
The newsletters will let each Highlighted student write their own stories of their experience of the MCDC. We will also keep you posted on the events we will be holding every month.

The MCDC is such a great place! I love how it has helped me learn more about the many cultures that we have on campus, and it has also helped me break down a lot of the misconceptions that I have had about a lot of them. I have been able to make a lot of friends that I wouldn't have met if I didn't come to MCDC. I love all the activities and services that we do, and the opportunity that I get to share my culture with the rest of the school and all those in the community.
The people are great I love them; they are so willing to help with whatever they can. It is awesome to see the many different cultures, backgrounds, and diverse people come together as one with a single goal in mind. That goal is to help further our learning, and to help others realize the great culture and diversity that is on this campus.

How the Diversity Center has helped me?
The Multicultural Diversity Center has helped me be aware of the many scholarship opportunities.
It has also afforded me the opportunity to visit with my sister daily away from our home.
Why I like the Diversity Center?
I like the Diversity Center because I get a chance to be involved & associate with other ethic groups on campus -- BSA, PCC, etc.
Charmayne.

Gregory Noel
My name is Gregory Noel and while I attended high school back in Las Vegas Nevada. I never thought that some day in the future I would be attending Dixie State College in St. George, Utah. To be honest I did not even know where St. George Utah was located until my high school counselor presented me with the idea.
At first, I was very reluctant to the idea because of the small amount of diversity I found out Utah had, but one of the major factors that made me want to attend Dixie State was when I found out that the college had a Multi- Culture Diversity Center. The reason that this really encouraged me into coming to Dixie State in because of the simple fact that I knew that I’d be able to find people in Utah that are of my ethic race and of various other races that I can relate with.
When I go to the Multi- Culture Diversity Center I feel a sense of fellowship and belonging. I really like the Multi- Culture Diversity Center because its like a little slice of Vegas right here in St. George, Utah. The Multi- Culture Diversity Center has not only provided me with a comfortable place that reminds me of home, but it has also provided me with a scholarship that is helping me to further my education in hopes of some day achieving my goals in life.
