Current Student Scholarship Program

Application Deadline: April 30th

Awards are made at the end of Spring Semester, after grades are posted for the current academic year.

Current Students are:

• Those who are currently attending Dixie State College and have completed 30 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or above.
• Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors, admitted into an eligible program. This scholarship is not a Freshman Scholarship.

Applicants may not be receiving any other academic or departmental scholarships awarded through DSC or its affiliates. Students who were awarded scholarships as entering freshman are not eligible to apply for a Current Student scholarship as institutional policy does not allow for the stacking of scholarships.

Awards will be determined based on the following scale:

• Applicants must have completed 30 credit hours to be eligible for consideration
• Applicants with a 3.30 to 3.499 cumulative GPA will receive a $1,000 one year scholarship
• Applicants with a 3.50 to 3.749 cumulative GPA will receive a $1,500 renewable scholarship
• Applicants with a 3.75 to 4.000 cumulative GPA will receive a $2,400 renewable scholarship
• Awards require 15 credit hours of full-time enrollment in an eligible program*
• Awards are determined based on the number of applicants and availability of funds

Current student scholarships are often paid out of College Endowments, and will require a Thank-you letter to the donor/donors of the endowment. In some cases full-time enrollment may be less than 15 credit hours (but never less than 12 credit hours) depending on the departmental requirements of the program. Final determination is made by the scholarship office.
