  Glen Blakley
Ceramics, Art History, & Art Trours

Glen Blakley completed a Master of Fine Arts at Brigham Young University, Provo, UT in 1973. He taught at Brigham Young University (1974-76), and has been at Dixie State College since 1976. He was the first director of the St. George Arts Festival (1979) and was the director of the St. George Art Museum for six years.

Painting & Drawing & Design & Color Theory

Teaches drawing, watercolor, basic design and upper level art history at DSC. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton in 1986 and earned a Master of Art and Art History degree in 1990 from the University of New Mexico. He also earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Arts from the University of Colorado.

 
  Del Parson
Painting & Portraits & Life Drawing

Earned an MFA in art from BYU, and taught at Ricks College. He has taught at Dixie State College for nearly 20 years. He is internationally known for his religious paintings of Christ, but he has also painted numerous western paintings, landscapes and portraits.

Sears Gallery Curator

Kathy serves as curator for the Sears Museum Gallery at Dixie State College. She received an Associate degree from Dixie State College and a Bachelor degree from Southern Utah University. Her paintings and original prints have been exhibited throughout Utah and as far away as New York. The St. George Art Museum commissioned her to produce three installations. She frequently presents at workshops as a creativity coach, presents art demonstrations, adjudicates art shows, and speaks to community organizations. In addition, her love of teaching has been expressed as an adjunct instructor for 2D design at DSC and since 2006 at Mohave Community College as the instructor for Art History, drawing, and watercolor.
