Sociology courses are used to fill GE requirements as well as for sociology and social work majors.  Students will study the effect that social structure has on behavior.  Sociology students will study such topics as culture, socialization, institutions, groups, deviance, social stratification, social control, social change and social conflict.  Courses taught at Dixie State College include Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Sociology of the Family, and Social Psychology.
