The following was released July 14, 2005:
With the rapidly approaching school year and the recent appointment of the existing academic vice president as the incoming president, it is critical that someone begin functioning in the role of Academic Vice President as soon as possible on an interim basis, with a national search to follow to permanently fill the position for the next academic year.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Donna Dillingham-Evans has accepted this assignment. Dr. Dillingham-Evans has been associated with Dixie State College in a variety of capacities since 1982. She was named founding chair of the math department in 2001, and continued in that position. She holds a doctorate from Northern Arizona University, a Masters from UNLV and a bachelors degree from Austin Peay State University.
She has been an extraordinary faculty member and administrator, and has demonstrated significant leadership in state-wide initiatives. We are grateful for her willingness to assume this important assignment.
Robert C. Huddleston
Lee G. Caldwell
Professor Scott Mortensen will take over as Chair of the Mathematics Department.
