Upward Bound is a federally funded pre-college program that is designed
to build skills and increase motivation in order to complete a college education.
Services Provided
- Academic & Career Counseling
- Tutoring
- College Tours
- Career Exploration Oppurtunities
- ACT Preparation Workshops
- Community Service Opportunities
- Stipends (up to $40 a month)
- Attend College classes during a 6 week summer program
Eligibility for Upward Bound
- Come from a family where neither parent has received a Bachelor’s Degree
- Meet federal low-income criteria. In accordance with 34 CFR Chapter VI §645.6(b)(4)
- Must be a citizen of the United States or permanent resident with an Alien Number
- Enrolled in 9th or 10th grade at one of the following high school:
